Kyle Kiister
I have been involved with Albers Marine for quite a long time! The short story of it all is I wouldn’t have probably ever moved to Arma, KS if it wasn’t for Billy and Rose Ann hiring me to work at Albers in the first place…. I owe a big thanks to both of them for giving me a chance to work as a new mechanic (WITH DONNIE FOX) basically fresh out of tech school (Northeast Tech School) Afton OK. I will be forever grateful of that opportunity for sure! Great people to work for and Billy was absolutely one of the best people I have ever met!
My career now is in Equipment Rental. I am currently the Service manager of Sunbelt rentals in Joplin Mo. I have been in the rental industry for approx. 9 years. I am married with 2 kids, Max 3 ½ years old and Julia 3 Months.
I grew up with a rod and reel in my hand. I would credit the majority of my passion for fishing competitively, and for fun, to my mom and Dad Ron and Julie Kiister. They both were by far my biggest supporters and I'm sure if they were still around it wouldn’t be any different. My home lake I call “Big Hill Lake” near Cherryvale, Ks (My Hometown). I have been the president of the Cherryvale Bassmaster's since 2008. I made the Kansas Bass Nation State Team 2 years in a row and had the opportunity of fishing the regionals on Toledo Bend and Lake Guntersville. Finishing 7th at Guntersville and I Had Big Bass on day 3 with a 7.21#. I have certain techniques that I consider myself better at, but I don’t have one in specific that I would say I am better at than anyone else. My favorite I would say is throwing a topwater of any sorts.
In the past Glenn and I have traveled around fishing Anglers in Action, and Nichols Team Series. Scott and I have fished some Jackpot Style Tournaments and Currently Moody and I are team partners on Stockton.
